San Lorenzo Beach (Noto), the Caribbean of Sicily
The beach of San Lorenzo is a very charming stretch of coast characterized by large beaches and small coves. The fine light sand is bathed by a turquoise and crystal clear sea with a gently sloping seabed, which allows even the youngest children to enjoy the sea in complete peace.
It is a beautiful coastline that overlooks the south-eastern Ionian coast of Sicily in the municipality of Noto, in the province of Syracuse. It is located just outside the Vendicari Oasis near Pachino and its hamlet of Marzamemi.
The turquoise and blue sea has a shallow bottom, which slopes gently offshore. These characteristics make the beach of San Lorenzo very similar to a Caribbean and very suitable for family tourism. The rocky stretch of the coast is located further north, on the border with the Vendicari Nature Reserve, where the sea is also deeper, while the rest to the south is dominated by the wide sandy coast. Here you will find both bathing establishments and stretches of free beach.
